Bloggers Whose Positivity and Content Inspire Me ft. Cross Dimensional

A little while ago, I spoke about my desire to take part in more collaborative blogging. Milind from Cross Dimensional was one of the first people to contact me, suggesting that we talk about positivity. Today, Milind will be sharing positive things that are happening in society despite all the negative news – that should be super interesting so make sure to check that out as soon as it’s live! When the topic of positivity was first brought up, I started thinking about the support I felt as a newcomer to the blogging world, and how this has continued throughout my writing-on-the-internet journey; this is what I’ve decided to discuss over here on my blog.

My Thoughts Entering the Blogging World

Coming into the blogging world, I was a little apprehensive. Let’s face it, the internet doesn’t have the best reputation for friendliness. You hear about cyber bullying, trolls, and harsh comments being thrown around the world wide web like flyers at a promotional event for flyers. That was oddly specific, but I’m just going to go with it. The prospect of having all of that negative energy directly dumped on me sent tingles of fear up my spine.

At first, I imagined blogging to go one of two ways: it was either going to feel like standing in a very big field on my own, with literally no one even aware of my existence, or like having my feet cemented to a stage and being stuck there naked and vulnerable, whilst anonymous figures coated me in a treacle-slick of insults. Neither of those seem that attractive… So you’re probably wondering: why did I start blogging if that was my view of what it would be like?

Well I guess it’s because somehow I knew that the reality of blogging wasn’t like my preconceived perception of it. And this is the one thought that has been proven right to me over the last six months since joining this community. I’ve seen such lovely acts of kindness from the day I got into this whole thing; I think it’s about time I dedicated a post to some of the people who have inspired me along this journey.

Get your seatbelts on kids, it’s gonna be an overwhelmingly positive post that possibly borders on cringeworthy. I promise we will return to the regularly scheduled depressing content soon (I’m joking, all of my posts are a stab at showing what light lies in the darkness, right?)

15 Bloggers Who Inspire Me

Bexa has been there literally from week one of my blogging journey, showering my posts with thoughtful comments; I see her lovely words on so many people’s pages and it’s inspiring. She writes lifestyle posts with such joy it reaches through the screen and grabs you – in a nice way of course.

Mia writes in such a sassy, takes-no-shit tone and her posts always make me smile. Whether it’s travel, fashion or bullet journalling, this girl covers it in style. She leaves energetically buzzy comments and was the first person I did a collab with.

AutumnSkies – leaves wonderful comments on my posts, and writes with such raw honesty in her own. A great blog for anyone who feels alone with struggling with their mental health.

Siobhan is another one who leaves very thoughtful comments on anything I write. Her blog is a mix of informative reviews, vegan-related posts and pieces about wellbeing.

Rachel shares stories from her travels and life over on her blog and I feel like we have so much in common it’s a little scary. She was also the first person to ask me to be featured on her blog which was very kind and enjoyable!

Dana provides little snapshots into her life on her blog, and they really make you want to know more! She’s very supportive and always making me smile with her words.

Jenny is another vegan blogger and her posts make me so damn hungry. She writes with such light positivity and leaves very kind comments on my posts.

Ashley is doing so much to alleviate mental illness stigma and her posts succinctly summarise books or research you haven’t had a moment to read yourself. I think she’s doing great things for the online mental health community.

Hannah is a blogger I only discovered recently, but already I’ve received so much love on my posts from her! She writes great content on a variety of topics too.

Sophie is someone else who spreads positivity – she frequently comments on my blog with very lovely words. I like her no nonsense style and recommend a read of her posts.

Fiona leaves brilliantly lovely comments on my posts and her own writing is captivating. The whole package really.

Lon is a wonderful travel and lifestyle blogger who included me in a lovely Twitter group chat which introduced me even more bloggers. She always leaves nice comments too.

Abigail writes about veganism and always makes my stomach rumble; the words she leaves on my posts make me smile.

Amie’s blog is so bright it shouts happiness at you. Her comments are also very personalised and lovely.

Jaime is a blogger I’ve only recently started following, but the positivity shines through very loudly on her blog and I love that.

Phew! I don’t think I can go on anymore, I’ve run out of positive adjectives. But seriously, there are so many more lovely bloggers out there, I’m feeling a little bit bad I can’t include everyone I’d like to! I guess that just shows that the positivity in the blogging community is very much alive and well. I’m so happy I decided to start blogging, not only to be able to write lots and share my thoughts with the world, but also because I’ve connected with so many lovely people through it.

I just recently started a blog and have to say the positiveness on the word press platform is just so refreshing. This post being a prime example. I’ve really been into reframing how I look at things lately and trying to find the upside in situations and experiences, is definitely improving my positiveness. I think the blogging community definitely helps also!!! Thanks for sharing such an upbeat post!

I had some of the same concerns when I first started! I actually bought my domain a whole TEN months before I posted anything! It’s funny to look back on that. I tried to guess a few people who might be included on this list before I scrolled down and it was so nice to see so many familiar names and faces included! Such a lovely post! It’s so nice when fellow bloggers share the love x

Wow Alys, So good to see bloggers promoting other bloggers. The internet can be an awfully horrid place. The important thing to remember is that it also a good place where we support each other and comfort one another through bad times and celebrate together during the good times. Followed a bunch of the bloggers from your list because as you say, so inspiring! Anna xx (one half of the Cinnamon Buns and Roses blog)
